Tuesday July 27, 2004 – Rutland, VT. We drove about 200 miles today, mostly in the rain…again. No car problems. We departed Maine, drove through New Hampshire and ended up in Vermont. We made two stops, one in Quechee Gorge and the second in Woodstock, VT. Both stops were interesting. Quechee had a nice gorge as well as a big antique shop. We did both!
Woodstock is a wonderful small town. We walked the downtown area and found some interesting places to take some pictures. Larry / Susan and George / Verna found some wine.
We found a church and bell:
During the drive we traversed some back roads and at one point needed a potty stop but couldn’t find a place. Finally, Phil and Marge found a small park where we stopped. It gave us an opportunity to take some nice pictures. Phil declared this a unique potty stop. I agree!
