Thursday July 29, 2004 – Touring the Finger Lakes area.
Larry and Lois Morlock joined the group today. They drove over from Columbus and toured the Curtis airplane museum yesterday.
We departed as a group and found the MacKenzie Childs complex. The grounds are very impressive, as is the art work.
The group proceeded on to Hammondsport while Larry and Susan toured the wine country of the Finger Lakes. There are many wineries, some dating back a long way. Larry and Susan like to find the newer, smaller wineries to get a flavor of the community and to be able to have more personal discussions, possibly with the owner. They visited 5 wineries and came away with a case of wine that somehow must fit in the car and not break!
